Born in wilmington, NC, I’ve now made Jackosnville, FL ~ USA ~ home for the past 47+ years
with a couple of cities in-between.

Writing poetry as a hobby since the early 80’s and being published both nationally and internationally; a few years ago, I found that I needed to make a change of venue as a stalemate was occurring with my pen voice.As a published poet the transition from that creative expression to painting has been a natural fit. Putting words into motion with the expressions of life and beauty, therefore also becoming a Glass Artist.

~ Pull up a Chair! ~ are collections that have Reflections of fears, sadness, anger, loneliness, hope, expectations, dreams and love.They are dedicated to all those who showed me life, strengthened me with love through hope and dried my tears with love.
A very special thanks to my Mother and Father for without them, none of this could have been possible. They were the first to show me all the great gifts of life and how to live for it. My life has been touched by many who have helped shape who I am today. Without all the trials of life, I could not have begun to understand the true meaning of living life, not to the fullest, but the richest.

Then….

A few years ago, I found that I needed to make a change of venue as a stalemate was occurring with my pen voice.As I was searching, I began to see the beauty that surrounds us in a different light. The transition had been found! While admiring in full color the trees in the sunlight, skies of blue with white and gray, butterflies, birds, and sunsets. With the paint I had on hand, an idea began with the process through looking at an old wine bottle and turning it into a handing candle.
 Now with the vision in place all the possibilities that started running through my head was overwhelming. But the focus was to transform ordinary glass into works of art, and I worked to make it a reality. It is as though I listened for the voice to bring the vision to life. My medium of painting on glass and the range of colors represented are intertwined with the colors of the natural beauty that surrounds us. My glass art works have been exhibited in many fine art shows and local galleries.

My Art Glass ~ painting has now become a natural fit to my creative expression. Intertwining pen and voice to become paint with vision. Kolours ~ Illusions in Glass ~ is custom designed glass art uniquely different, one of a kind, individually hand painted, which means that no two pieces will ever be the same.
