This Day…

Sometimes when it comes to writing on a blog,
I just get lost on what to say.
Today..is one of those days! But I’ll give this a good try….

I’ve not really blogged in awhile, because I’ve had
various things going on and quite honestly did not feel like
communicating. Felt as those others had something more
important to say, or a way in which to say it that I did not
and still do not — understand.

But I’m willing to give it another try! Like learn what the
RSS things are for and HOW to use them!

I created a website … then lost everything and had to re-build
the whole thing. I’m not happy with my host, so I really got to
thinking that if everyone is reading blogs, why not blog what
I had on my website?

Then I REALLY read some of the information associated with
WordPress – (see I was here once before) – and found out that I
would have more than ONE blog! NOW — that will solve
all of my problems that I’ve been having with my host site!

As a Writer of Poetry~with three collections that I’ve complied over
the years~and many more that need sorting~~~what a wonderful thing!
And to boot I am also a Painter of Glass Art and finding the right
niche to showcase what pieces of art I have and to possibly be able to sell what I have so that I can create more … well WORDPRESS is to the
rescue for me!

I’ve now also discovered Deviantart, which I love! But the Blogging in not
there. Just can showcase my work. I will keep it there — but I’ve also learned
something else from being there that I am having so much fun with!
Apophysis! APO! the Fractals, which I had always come across over
these last 2-3 years and wondered how they were done, never thinking that
I could ever create something close to what I saw!
And while I have a lot to learn about this art form….I must admit that it
is addictive with loads for frustration and fun!

So…this is just a sampling of what I ‘might’ be writing about…
with anything I find interesting or worthwhile to share.

I hope that you will stop in a say HELLO and comment before leaving!

Lipstick Warning

When I received this:::I was shocked, because I did not know about the lead problems:::I do know about the arsnic problems in LIPSTICK!
Something to consider next you go shopping for lipstick!
This comes from someone who works in the breast cancer unit at Mt. Sinai Hospital, in Toronto.

Recently a lipstick brand called “Red Earth” decreased their prices from$67. to $9.90.
It contained lead. Lead is a chemical which causes cancer.
The lipstick brands that contain lead are:
CHRISTIAN DIOR
LANCOME
CLINIQUE
Y.S.L.
ESTEE LAUDER
SHISEIDO
RED EARTH (Lip Gloss)
CHANEL (Lip Conditioner)
MARKET AMERICA-MOTNES LIPSTICK
The higher the lead content, the greater the chance of causing cancer.
After doing a test on lipsticks, it was found that the Y.S.L. lipstick contained the most amount of lead.
Watch out for those lipsticks which are supposed to stay longer.
If your lipstick stays longer, it is becuse of the higher content of lead.
Here is the test you can do yourself:
1. Put some lipstick on your hand.
2. Use a Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick colour changes to black, then you know the lipstick contains lead.
This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Dioxin Carcinogens cause cancer, especially breast cancer.
61% of lipstick is made here in the US and has lead in it and the FDA does nothing to regulate it!
We see where the priorities are don’t we!
